About this prototype
As part of the new 30 month plan-making process, local planning authorities are required to create a publish a Project Initiation document (PID). This is a project management tool that sets out key activities, resources, governance arrangement and budget for plan-making.
What we wanted to learn
We wanted to find out how we might support LPAs to structure their PID in a way that could then help us automate some of the project management based on these decisions - a ‘live’ document. We started by creating a step by step flow where officers could compile all the PID sections required by the regulations, then send for approval from relevant decision-makers.
