11 Examination - planning inspector view
About this prototype
When a Planning Inspector is examining a local plan, they need to see all of the information and data that has gone into making a policy to understand how well that policy is addressing needs and how well it is supported by evidence. Currently, this information can be stored across multiple documents, websites and spreadsheets. It can be a time consuming process.
What we wanted to learn
This prototype tests ideas to address two user needs:
As a planning inspector I need to quickly understand how policies were formed so that I can quickly start to understand the key issues to surface during Examination hearings
As a planning inspector I need to see the related evidence, representations and requirements so that I can assess whether a policy is sound
These relate to the Planning Inspector scenarios we’ve identified during Discovery.
