About this prototype
As part of the new 30 month plan-making process, local planning authorities are required to:
publish a plan-making timetable dataset according to an approved data standard
publish a user-friendly version that makes it easy for everyone to understand key milestones for the plan-making process
What we wanted to learn
While there are some key milestones and time dependencies within the publish plan-making guidance, LPAs will need to account for many other factors when creating a timetable. For example, committee dates and decision-making milestones.
Some ideas we wanted to explore:
How might we make it easier for LPAs to create and publish a timetable data set according to the approved data standard?
How might we automate the creation of a timetable using some key ‘known’ milestones?
How might we make it easier to publish timetables in an accessible, website friendly format?
